Comcast’s New Facility Completed

October 24, 2016

Specht Development recently completed construction on a new $9.2 million facility for Comcast Corporation. Selected by Comcast through a competitive process in 2013, Specht’s work replaces and improves upon an existing facility used by the media and technology company. The “Comcast East PDX Field Fulfilment Office” is a 50,400 square-foot building located at 7900 NE Killingsworth Street in Portland, Ore.

“Specht Development was honored to work on a project that has such a large impact on Comcast’s local operations,” said Greg Specht, Chief Executive Officer at Specht Development. “We are pleased that our commitment to Comcast was demonstrated through our on-time and on-budget delivery of the completed facility.”

Perlo Construction was the general contractor and VLMK Engineering & Design served as the project architect, with interior design by Rommel Architectural Partnership. David Squire (Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF)) and Nate Sasaki (Apex Real Estate Partners) jointly represented Comcast in the transaction.

The completion of Comcast’s new facility comes on the heels of Specht announcing commencement on construction of 732,824 square feet of speculative industrial space in Gresham, Ore. The $61.7 million Vista Logistics Park project is the largest single phase speculative development ever constructed within the Portland metropolitan area.
