Darren Wood is a Construction Manager at Specht Properties and has been with the company since 2006. He is involved in all stages of project development and management including conceptual, predevelopment, design, construction and project closeout. Darren is responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of construction – from due diligence, budgeting, scheduling, contracts, draw applications, project documentation, construction bid review, quality control, progress documentation, cost management, insurance requirements, and constructions means and methods.

As part of his work, Darren reviews and reports on various documents throughout the construction process, including drawings, specifications, budgets, change orders, contracts and schedules. He is responsible for coordinating and tracking projects, creating project logs, and monitoring all project activities during the construction phase.

Prior to joining Specht, Darren held various positions in construction, sales, and management. Darren graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration General Management. He lettered in football while attending Portland State, is an Eagle Scout, and currently serves as an assistant football coach at Central Catholic High School in SE Portland.
