Specht Announces New VP of Property Management

Tara Platt - Resized WebSpecht is pleased to announce the recent addition of Tara Platt as Vice President of Property Management. Tara will oversee the property management firm’s portfolio of commercial office and industrial property located throughout the Portland metro and SW Washington region. In addition to managing day-to-day activities, she will work to enhance values for the property owners represented by Specht.

“Tara will be stepping into Vicki Rising’s position as Vicki enters retirement. Vicki played an integral role in the growth and maintenance of our property management division for more than two decades,” said Gregory Specht, Chief Executive Officer at Specht Properties. “We know that Tara will continue to push forward the role that Vicki solidified, providing our clients with the utmost in customer service.”

A resident of Aurora, Ore., Tara comes to Specht with more than eighteen years of experience in property management, having recently served as Property Manager at Kimco Realty, where she managed a retail portfolio of 2.6 million square-feet, overseeing financial and operational performance across three states.

Along with property management, Specht also operates a real estate development division. Since June of 2014, Specht and its investment partners have purchased and began construction on a total of 1,577,000 square feet of speculative industrial developments in the Portland metropolitan area. Most recently purchasing 38 acres from the Port of Portland and commencing construction on Vista Logistics Park in Gresham, Ore. — the area’s largest speculative industrial project ever launched as a single phase (732,824 square feet) development.
