Specht Announces New Vice President of Construction
Specht Properties, Inc. is pleased to announce the recent addition of Chris Hartson as vice president of construction to the Portland-based real estate development and property management firm. Hartson will be responsible for supervising all aspects of Specht’s construction projects, including overseeing internal project managers and external vendors, as well as frequently communicating with clients. The Happy Valley, Ore. resident comes to Specht with more than 20 years of experience in construction and engineering.
“Serving as vice president of construction for Specht is a huge milestone in my career,” said Hartson. “Not only am I thrilled to lead cutting-edge development projects, I am most excited about the opportunity to work side-by-side with some of the best in the industry.”
Hartson came to Specht from Howard S. Wright where he worked for the past five years as a project executive. Prior to that, he worked for Skanska for 14 years as a senior project manager after three years spent as a field engineer for Charles Pankow Builders. Hartson is a certified Design-Build of America (DBIA) professional, a LEED Accredited Professional and a graduate of Oregon State University’s Construction Engineering Management program.
“Chris is a well-respected expert in the general construction community,” said Gregory Specht, President at Specht Properties. “Both our clients and our construction team will benefit from his 20 years of experience in the field.”
